There are so many great Easter dresses for women out there, if you know where to look. Whether you have an Easter dinner with the family to attend, an outdoor Easter egg hunt, or are heading to church there’s something for everyone here.
Living in Manitoba, I know that weather around Easter can be unpredictable – maybe it’s the same where you live too? That’s why I pulled a variety of weather-friendly options. Others can easily be easily changed up with a cardigan or rain coat that you can use as needed.

What to Look for When Choosing Easter Dresses for Women
If you’re not sure where to start when it comes to shopping for adult women’s Easter dresses, don’t worry. It’s a tricky holiday because Easter falls on different days (and weather patterns) every year.
At least where we live some Easters are warm enough to be outdoors in shorts, others require bundling up with snow on the ground!
Nice, bright colours are always a hit when it comes to Easter fashion. If you’re comfortable this is a great time to wear those bold pinks and yellows that otherwise might stand out.
More subtle pinks, greens, and blues are also nice for this time of year. You can usually get away with wearing these all spring and even throughout the summer. Which is great if you want a dress that you can wear more than just one day a year.
Finally, white is a trick colour for the Easter season. It’s normal for people to not wear white again until after Memorial Day in the US, but this rule isn’t as hard as the “no white after labor day” thing and most stylists agree spring white are OK.
Florals are by far the most common patterns you see in women’s Easter dresses. A great pattern can make a dress more flattering or help it stand out without being too bright. Spring florals do a great job of giving that Easter feeling without being as bold as a bright solid coloured dress.
Stripes are also popular for Easter and flattering for most people.
Finally, gingham is another option if you want a more youthful or traditional look.
You can get away with almost any material type in the spring. Of course, lighter and flowy options are definitely more seasonally appropriate – but warmer dresses might be required if you’ll be outside with those early spring breezes.
Cottons and linens are always a classic look. Flowy accents with light tulle material are also nice.
Frills and bows are pretty popular when it comes to Easter fashion. Other things that scream spring are ruffles, seersucker, ties, smocking, and eyelets.

I really like this dress because it’s cute enough for Easter dinner but can still be worn casually throughout the spring season. Also plus one for having pockets! There are other colour and print options but I felt like this one was perfect for a chilly spring.
Maxis are a great option for spring because they’re warmer if the days are chilly but still have that seasonal look. This one is modest enough to wear to church yet still casual enough for an outdoor egg hunt.
This flowy maxi boho style dress screams spring, but in a good way. The large pattern brings those bright spring colours in while the white backdrop tones it down. Chiffon is super airy and flowy, too. One great thing about this dress is plus sizes are available too.
Swing dresses are usually more cocktail attire than Easter dinner, but this one manages to bring the styles together. The light shade of blue will have you matching with the Easter decor and the ruffled sleeves add some texture to this simple dress.
Pencil dresses are so pretty for any season, but this one manages to be perfect for spring if you grab it in pink or white. If you’re looking for great plus sized Easter dresses for women, this one is super flattering and comfy.
The ruffled collar on this dress is preppy and cute. You could just as easily wear it to Easter church as you can to a fun spring party with friends. The length is perfect too; long enough for family gatherings but just short enough to be flirty too.
Vintage 1950 swing dresses have never really gone out of a style. Whether it’s a bold print or a bright colour like this yellow dress, there’s something out there to fit every occasion. I absolutely love them for spring and Easter, though.
Another vintage option, tea dresses are incredibly versatile dresses. They flatter almost any figure and fit comfortably for Easter entertaining or egg hunting with the kids.
This one is a little more formal but I just had to include it. Depending on what you’re celebrating you might want to pair it with a shall or sweater, but it really is a great dress if you want fancier Easter dresses for women.
Yet another super cute women’s Easter dress with pockets! The midi length is perfect for this time of year and the button up front with a tie waist looks really cute on.
Such a pretty dress option for women who prefer more muted tones. The ruffles on the front kind of remind me of smocking which is so popular amongst southern Easter dress design.
It’s a little bold but if you like to dress up for Easter dinner this is a super cute option. The bright blue will have you standing out without sticking out. The fabric is really flowy, too.
Empire waist dresses are comfortable for most people and can be a lot more flattering than other styles. They’re also stretchy for folks who need some wiggle room. It would also be a good maternity dress!
Chiffon is less popular nowadays so it can really pack a punch when worn strategically. This one is so pretty and the trimming is really unique too. Great for petite women!
Look at those sleeves! Cap sleeves with ruffles are absolutely gorgeous in an Easter dress for women. The length is also perfect for spring’s unpredictable weather if you’re celebrating outside.
Eyelet dresses are another Easter classic. The light blue is really pretty, but you could also go with white if you want something more versatile.
Last but definitely not least, this mini seersucker dress is beautiful as a woman’s Easter dress. The light colour and soft cotton linen look are perfect for spring, and the style is posh and flirty all at once.
